"In the aesthetics of childhood I find the most perfect and universal way to speak about the human being."Explore the work
About the Style
César Guerrero’s work is deeply rooted in the tradition of classical painting—the study of anatomy, light, and composition inherited from the old masters—yet it speaks in a unique and recognizable language of its own.
Through this artistic approach, he explores the universality of the human experience, finding in the innocence of childhood a mirror for the full spectrum of human emotion, memory, and aspiration.
His historical paintings revisit moments and figures of Western art not as mere acts of reproduction, but as a path toward discovering his own voice.

Oil on canvas
Each week, a new image; a window into the continuous conversation between the artist and the canvas.
This week’s work explores risk, chance, and the tension between control and self-confidence—themes inherent to the human condition.

The classical tradition demands a rigorous study of the human figure. Form, the behavior of light, gesture, and movement are elements present in precise measure within each work.
Audiovisual Presentation
An in-depth audiovisual journey through the evolution of César Guerrero’s artistic practice—covering creativity, art history, painting, sculpture, and the visual language of the series.
This presentation also clarifies the fundamental difference between the conceptual language of The Aesthetics of Childhood and any other work by artists who have included children's figures in their art: here, childhood is neither a decorative motif nor a mere theme, but a complete philosophical system of visual thought.
Recognition
Recognized by the Pinacothèque Museum as part of the international Luxembourg Art Prize 2022—a testament to the quality and scope of this artistic approach, even in its early stages.
The prize brings together artists from all over the world competing in the fields of painting, sculpture, and mixed media. It does not reward a single work, but rather the artist's overall career.
